Researchers associated with the Yama Project presented our findings at the Pacific Northwest Archaeological Society meetings on December 9th, 2016. Shihou Sasaki, reporter from the North American Post recently published the story “Archaeological Study Maps Japanese Immigrant History” (on April 30, 2015).

 

The Kitsap Sun ran a front page story on April 15, 2015 (online) and April 16, 2015 (print version) “College Aiding in Excavation of Japanese-American Village on Bainbridge” concerning the exhibit and project. (Reporter: Rachel Seymour)

 

The Bainbridge Island Historical Museum has recently installed 8 panels from the Archaeology at Yama exhibit, and are preparing larger exhibits to be displayed in other venues.
